School Nurse
In May 2009, Olive was hired as the first school nurse for KSVI. Her duties include caring for minor illnesses and injuries, basic health, helping students make healthy choices, and teaching proper nutrition.

KSVI Soccer Teams
The boys in Senior 3 and Senior 4 classes participate in intramural soccer games each Wednesday following classes. Rwengoro Primary School, located about 3 kilometres from KSVI, has a soccer field where students, coached by Geography teacher Mike Mulindabigwi, resume their rivalry each week.
The soccer games offer students and teachers alike a chance to share in camaraderie and build relationships. Primary school students often stay to watch the game.

Mission Team
In 2008, a team from First Presbyterian Church of Nashville, TN visited KSVI. When they returned home, they raised money for a generator for the school. Now students gather in the evening to study. The generator provides lighting for about 3 hours each evening.
